Jeff
Jeff’s role as associate general counsel and a chief compliance officer spans the breadth of the entire Focus organization, providing oversight for compliance and legal operations throughout the firm. He also serves as the chief compliance officer for Focus Strategic Partners and the SA Funds.
Previously, he worked for Moody’s Investor Service and Husch Blackwell LLP. Most recently he served as chief compliance officer, deputy chief risk officer and head of risk, compliance and legal department for Gurtin Municipal Bond Management. He joined Focus in 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Webster University and a master’s degree from Washington University. Additionally, he completed the Master of Public Affairs degree at The University of Texas Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law. Jeff also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation.
Outside of Focus, Jeff is incredibly active in his professional and charitable communities. He has served on both the board of trustees for Webster University and the Webster University Alumni Association. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for the Southside Early Child Center, STL Venture Works, on the finance committee for College Bound St. Louis, as well as serving on the economic development advisory committee for the City of Clayton, MO.
