About Chen
Chen leads the firm’s investments in U.S. public equities, and he is also a Portfolio Manager of the Diversifying Strategies Portfolio as well as the Focus Partners Private Credit Funds.
Chen served as a Director and Member of the investment team with New Providence Asset Management prior to their merger with Focus Partners in 2021. Previously, he was the lead analyst covering international equities with a focus on Asia ex Japan. Chen started his career at the Global Corporate Bank division at J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong.
Fluent in Mandarin, he also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. Chen earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Before his career in finance, Chen served two years as a combat medic in the Singapore Armed Forces. Outside of the office, he enjoys watching sci-fi movies and his favorite fruit is durian.
