Prior to his start with Bordeaux in 2024, Derek competed as a professional golfer for five years on multiple tours across the globe. These tours consisted of the PGA Tour of Australasia, Challenge Tour, and DP World Tour. He claimed victory in a worldwide recognized event in May 2022 in Melbourne, Australia, which helped propel him to No. 654 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Derek grew up in Half Moon Bay, California, and is now residing in Redwood City, just down the street from the Menlo Park office. He enjoys golfing, snowboarding, hiking, and spending his time at the beach during summer months.
