Brent
Brent combines institutional investment research experience with personalized advice to help individuals and families build customized portfolios aligned with their long-term objectives. He partners with clients to develop investment strategies, review portfolio performance, evaluate cash flow needs, and make asset allocation decisions in support of their long-term financial goals.
Brent brings more than two decades of investment experience to his work. He began his career in institutional equity research, specializing in fundamental and forensic accounting analysis, and went on to lead research organizations, develop Growth at a Reasonable Price (GARP)-oriented investment strategies, and design proprietary quantitative investment factors for institutional investors. Earlier in his career, he served as President and Director of Research at Gradient Analytics, where he directed the firm’s institutional equity research efforts and built and mentored teams of analysts.
Brent joined Focus in 2026 through its merger with Benefit Financial Services Group (BFSG). At BFSG, he served as a Senior Portfolio Manager and chaired the investment committee for the firm’s GARP wealth management sleeve, helping guide security selection, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and the firm’s macroeconomic outlook across client portfolios.
Outside of the office, Brent serves on the Investment Committee of the Arizona Catholic Community Foundation, lending his investment knowledge in support of the organization’s charitable mission. He is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Brent enjoys spending time with his family, continual learning, and helping others. He stays active through health and fitness, is an avid reader, and enjoys following sports. He lives in the greater Phoenix area with his family.
