About
Clarissa
Clarissa has spent more than 25 years doing work she genuinely loves—helping clients bring order to their financial lives and guiding them toward their long-term goals. She provides comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services at Focus Partners Wealth and has been part of the same close-knit team for over 16 years. Prior to that, she spent roughly a decade at the Principal Financial Group and AmSouth Bank, where she focused on retirement planning and employee benefits.
Clarissa is a former member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and served on their national Board of Directors, chairing the Public Policy Committee and Women's Initiative and acting as board liaison to the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. Her regional leadership includes board service with both NAPFA and the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the City of Colorado Springs Investment Advisory Committee, and the Junior League of Colorado Springs, where she served as president.
Over the years, Clarissa's perspectives have been featured in national outlets including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, and Kiplinger's Retirement Report, and she has spoken at a variety of industry conferences.
When she's not working, Clarissa loves spending time with her husband, Mike, and daughter, Charlotte, giving back through nonprofit volunteer work, and tackling the ongoing challenge of high-altitude baking.
Education and Professional Milestones
-University of the South – bachelor’s degree, graduated magna cum laude
