About
Henry
The most rewarding part of Henry’s career is seeing clients breathe a hopeful breath of clarity after their financial plan is done. Some clients heading into retirement want some extra assurance that everything will be okay as they start writing that new chapter in their life. Others see the plan and know it’ll be tough sledding, but they can make it down the hill with careful route planning. The great thing about what Henry does is that he gets to help clients plan their descent down “retirement mountain.” Retirement mountain is different for every client, sometimes changing mid-descent because of changes in the client's life and/or changes in tax or estate planning law. In either case, Henry can provide guidance.
Henry started his career in 2014 working as an Investment Analyst for a CPA, where he helped build out the firm’s TEAM-based approach. TEAM, or tax-efficient asset management, focuses on placing investments in appropriate account types, spreading a client’s tax liability over time to minimize lifetime taxes, and choosing investment vehicles that support the client’s investment plan.
Eventually, Henry came to Focus as a fiduciary, where he always puts his clients’ best interests ahead of his own.
When he’s not working, you can usually find Henry spending family time with his wife and daughter. They like to explore different restaurants, hike, or grab some coffee and relax at a local park. In addition, Henry enjoys reading fantasy and sci-fi books, playing guitar, or playing basketball with friends.
Education and Professional Milestones:
-University of California, Santa Cruz - bachelor’s degree in mathematics
-California Lutheran University – MBA
