About Jason
As a life-long learner and educator, Jason is passionate about helping people discover and act on what is most important to them. His experiences and personality enable him to view wealth management with the eye of an engineer, along with an extensive background in asking, “Why is this so?” and “How can we make it better?” Jason’s multifaceted background as a natural resource consultant and financial planner has allowed him to build strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills, which he uses to create personalized financial life plans for his clients.
When Jason isn’t working, you can find him with his wife Karen and their two children enjoying the many outdoor activities that the Columbia River Gorge offers. A fifth-generation Oregonian, Jason grew up in the Portland metro area and relocated to Hood River with his wife in 2001. They immediately fell in love with the vibrant culture, people, and activities that characterize the region. It remains a perfect choice for them, as they can enjoy their small town while remaining close to Portland and nearby family.

-University of Idaho – bachelor’s degree
-Kansas State University –master’s in personal financial planning
-Earned a graduate certificate in financial therapy from Kansas State University and an executive certificate in financial planning from the Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland
-Formed Hausman Advisors in 2008
-Spent a decade as a fishery scientist and natural resources consultant for a globally recognized river engineering firm based in Hood River, Oregon
