Joni
In her time at Focus, Joni has come to understand very well that everyone has a story, and those stories shape decisions. She knows that, at the end of the day, her role is to help clients feel confident and comfortable in the decisions they make to further a financial life plan tailored around their goals and values.
As a support specialist in the firm’s Burlington Iowa office, Joni’s duties include welcoming clients, preparing for and participating in client meetings, and providing operational support for her advisory team. Her position affords an opportunity to get to know clients well, and she considers it an honor to hear the latest about family and hobbies, travels and life events, experiences and celebrations.
Prior to joining Focus in 2014, Joni worked in marketing at Northwestern Mutual. Before that, she held marketing-related and other roles at companies in the hospitality and real estate sectors.
Joni earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Iowa State University in 2005.
She lives in Burlington, Iowa, with her husband, Joe, and their three daughters. She loves spending time with family and friends and trying new restaurants. A self-described Peloton fanatic, Joni and her family are active in their church and have their foster care license.
