Matthew
Matt is a Director of Planning Services, where, in addition to creating cross media informational and educational content for advisors and clients, he builds out tools and resources to help advisors better serve their clients.
He's served in the financial services industry since 2005, where he has advised clients, built and led teams and, in recent years, built educational content and programs for leading media and financial services companies. He joined Focus Partners in 2022, and prior to that, he was Director of Advisor Education for Kitces.com. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Professional in Talent Development designations as well as having obtained an MBA with a focus in finance.
Matt lives in Ohio with his wife, Danielle, and two dogs (who think they run the show and, if being honest, they may be right). Their house is in a quiet neighborhood that is nestled in a wooded valley. As weather permits, the outside deck serves as their communal office throughout much of the year, requiring heaters to extend the allowable months. Matt and Danielle’s home is filled with music, vinyl records, books, crafts, and old horror movie collectibles, and good food. To wind down, Matt can usually be found cooking while listening to records and drinking a quality IPA.
