About Phil
As the Managing Director of Focus's transactions team, Phil’s focus is on relationships. He works daily with advisors and business owners to forge long-lasting connections that are built on trust.
Phil has two main areas of responsibility in his role. He helps advisors establish and maintain succession solutions to provide peace of mind for the future — for both the advisors and their clients. He also leads due diligence and integration efforts when likeminded firms join Focus.
As Phil helps facilitate these new relationships, he most enjoys getting to know the advisors and learning about their firms’ history and success. The most rewarding part of his job is seeing the satisfaction advisors experience when they have a positive succession solution in place.
Since joining Focus in 2007, Phil has worked in several areas of the firm, and that experience supplies him with extensive knowledge of Focus’s resources. In his current role, he works with almost every department as they collaborate on complex transactions, giving him great appreciation for the firm’s deep bench of talent.
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Phil came to the Midwest when he attended the University of Missouri for his bachelor’s degree. Today he lives in Lake St. Louis with his wife and three children. In his spare time, Phil enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as sports, nutrition and the outdoors.
